The archeological investigation conducted for this 12.5 acre project was to locate and record any cultural resources, within the boundaries of the proposed site area, that may be impacted by construction.

The Phase IA investigation consisted of a literature review and site record search. Much of the larger project area was previously disturbed by construction of the Eldora Dragstrip. The Phase IB survey, using shovel test pits over the area not disturbed, located no prehistoric or historic archeological sites.

Based on these results, it was recommended that the proposed project area be cleared for construction.

Construction of the project took place during the summer of 2002, and the project has since been completed.
