The Archeological surveys conducted for this 45 acre project were to determine the presence of and/or the site location(s) of intact prehistoric archeological resources within the boundaries of the proposed site/construction location.
The review of archeological site files and the Phase IA survey determined a known site area within the proposed area of construction. The Phase IB survey located the site boundaries and the resulting report recommended further archeological investigation to determine the site's eligibility to the National Register of Historic Places.
The project was cancelled when the Department of Highways denied access to Wal-Mart from Route 705.
