SERVICES

We here at Horizon Research Consultants, Inc. have performed numerous studies that encompass almost every aspect of cultural resource management. The services that we provide range primarily from archeological field surveys and investigation for Phase I, II and III projects to anthropological research on organizational culture and educational research. Because anthropology is a holistic discipline the combination of anthropological research and archeological investigation is not unusual from the anthropological perspective.

HRC is currently expanding its Horizon to include additional studies of higher education. One area of particular interest is how students learn and what techniques teachers can use to facilitate the learning process. HRC has developed qualitative research instruments to assess both teaching and learning on the college and university level. Horizon Research Consultants, Inc. has worked hand in hand with Horizon Learning Solutions in developing the WE LEARN system. Want to find out more? Check out the Horizon Learning Solutions homepage at

HRC has completed a historic resource study of Storer College, the first black college in West Virginia. Understanding the time, and the cultures involved in this enormous undertaking was critical in order to provide the National Park Service with an appropriate interpretation of the college.

Feel free to check out our anthropology page or our archeology page for more information on our services as related to those fields.

What We Can Do For You
Potential Problem The HRC Solution
At the last minute, you find that you need an archeological survey. We assess your projects so that we can predict the need for SHPO review.
Your low-cost Phase I surveys turn into expensive Phase II surveys. HRC can reduce the need for Phase II surveys by using accurate assessments in the Phase I survey.
You are not receiving appropriate archeological reports. We prepare timely reports that are appropriate for your project.
The State Historic Preservation Office must request report revisions, causing further delays. We can help ensure report acceptance by having the Principal Investigator preview all reports.
You are paying good money, and receiving poor results. HRC delivers work that meets the highest standards--yours and ours.
