Anthropology is a four-field discipline that grew out of the desire to understand the cultural aspects of human behavior, both past and present.

Understanding the anthropological framework of past civilizations is a necessary tool for the archeologist. If the archeologist had only buried material remains, then an understanding of past human activity would be based only on typology and chronology. HRC's strong background in anthropology gives us the ability to help our clients make informed decisions about their projects. An objective review of a project and the impact it will have on an archeological site must include both the assessment of the significance of the archeological resource and the need and opportunity for human progress.
